Hippo ProVari Cap Sleeve
For those of you who want clean lines of your mod and best atomizer behavior, we have created HIPPO V2.
Hippo V2 is an autonomous addon, which not functions as a “wedge” between mod and atomizer since it has its own adaptor/pole. It has been manufactured so its “apron” does not come in direct contact with the mod’s cone, protecting your favorite mod from scratches and wear.
Hippo V2 provides mod with the classical square line, enabling best combination with atomizer type of genesis, tanks, etc. without the aesthetically annoying void between them. Hippo’s finish line, as in the “twins”, is in line with the satin look of the pole and the mod’s lid.
Further more you have the capability to regulate air’s quantity into the atomizer pole, giving an extra function.
Hippo’s two parts are tied to a compact whole, made from stainless steel 304L or Hard gold plated brass ( do not attempt to polish gold plated) and of course with the well-known “Atmistique” quality which follows all our creations.
Dimensions: Height 12.6 mm, diameter 23 mm
Weight: 23 grams
Whats new in Hippo V2 :
- Almost absolute hide of the cone
- Excellent flash sitting of the atomizer
- Bottom air feeding
- Adjustable center post to meet all atomizers with 510 connection
- Brass center post for best conductivity
- Option for stainless steel 304 or brass finish
- Improved air feeding control (from zero to rich)

At first it would not work. I had to watch a YouTube video to figure out that I had to adjust the 510 connection to make contact. Once I got it working found that the draw is still very tight even with an air flow control wide open. For my liking it could use two air holes instead of one.
It looks very well made and looks good on my Provari.

Any flush carto this will work great. I did however drilled the holes a little bigger and works flawless. May need to adjust the inside screw to meet the carto and once you find the right adjustment it works great

Initially, I could not get any atomizer to fire using the Hippo v2- however I contacted Atmistique with my issue and they responded via email within 10 mins! - there seems to be a slight defect in a few of the first batch of Hippo v2s which can be easily fixed by the user. The issue was that my center pin was almost flush and did not meet the provari contact. Using a flathead screwdriver, I tapped the center pin down so that it extended enough to meet the provari , then adjusted the pin to meet the atomizers as normal.
Once that issue was resolved (5mins) I was quite impressed with the hippos looks and performance . The airflow for me was adequate - and I prefer airy draws ( eg drippers with 2x 3mm holes )- however most of my atomizers ( eg Kayfun lite) have thei own independent airflow - so the hippo just provides additional air. For non slotted tanks like some carto tanks are- the hippo provided enough airflow for my personal preference , but may be drilled for increased flow.
The hippo allows for a flush mount for every atomizer I own, however it will increase the length of you device by approx. 1.2cm.
Overall I love the product and my initial troubleshooting was resolved by the best service and support I have ever experienced for any purchase- ever .
Thanks Avidvaper for making these devices accessible to us all.

I loved this adapter!! Looks a LOT better with some of my tanks, and doesn't choke the air from flush mounting...but this is the only thing wrong for me...I like an airy draw, and it seems too tight to me. Even when the holes are lined up, I still have too much resistance to my draw. I ended up drilling the holes slightly larger, and dremeled a channel between all the holes, between the o-rings. Other than this small personal issue causing my rating to be a 4, I LOVE this adapter!

The Hippo Cap v2 is a five star product and i like the new design over the original version. The reason I am giving 4 stars is because the product should of came with some form of instructions on care. I got lucky and found a You video that the twins did before I started using the Hippo Cap v 2. I feel there should be a short note instructing the customer to lube the O-rings with E-juice before first use. Beware the new design is nothing like the old but to me it is a big improvement. The fact I can adjust the center pin to get any tank working is awesome. By the way the customer service at Avid Vapor is awesome. the post office had some delay with delivery and when I contacted Avid Vapor they responded immediately and was willing to assist me in every possible.

First off, the looks - For as small as the Hippo is, it completely changes the look of a Provari. The flat top compliments a number of tanks/attys that only looked so-so before. The machining is pristine, and the two part design fits together so well it's like they were cut from the same piece of metal.
However, the major flaw with the Hippo is that it restricts the draw quite a bit. If you're happy with how your tanks draws now, you'll be sacrificing function for fashion with a Hippo. Yes, the air holes can be drilled out if you have the equipment, but a) you risk ruining the finish if you slip, and b) for something so well made in all other aspects, it's hard to believe variable air flow holes weren't incorporated in to this from the beginning.
If you like a tight draw, or you're a machinist, get one while they last. But if not, you may want to think twice before adding a Hippo to your setup.

Awesome product and well made. Does not look like what's in the ad though. Seems to be an improved design. The one i received does not have the threads on the outside of the adapter. It has 2 oring grooves that seal against the outer ring. It really does eliminate the tight draw when using carto's or clearo's. This is something that should be in the next version of the provari's. I did modify the threaded adapter by enlarging 2 of the 3 holes. It did make a noticeable difference on the draw vs the stock sized hole. I drilled it out similar to how the trident is. Anyways just get it, no regrets here.
