Kayfun Dx Top Filling Threaded Split Cap

This is a unique Kayfun split top cap that serves multiple functions in one cap. The most prominent feature is the low profile sleek design and the ability of the top portion of the cap to be removed for filling while the bottom of the cap stays connected to your kayfun. The DX top cap is split in two pieces. The bottom section stays thread on your Kayfun while the top section is removable. Removing the top cap exposes two 2mm ports, one for filling, and one for air release. Your kayfun cap can be filled right to the top without any air bubbles. The bored out cap holds an additional .75-1mm of liquid ( similar to the V2 Kayfun top caps)

 The other key feature of this top cap is a threaded chimney hole. Beyond the standard chimney o ring is a threaded section, our threaded chimnes will pass through the oring and thread directly into the bottom section of the Dx cap. This will allow you to use this DX top cap with a threaded chimney and our quartz glass kits to achieve a fully threaded quartz tank kayfun. No more fear of pulling your top cap off and filling your pocket with liquid. This threaded chimney feature is not used when using the Dx cap as a direct replacement for your Kayfun top cap only. Threaded chimney’s are only required when using this top cap with a quartz kit, both standard and nano threaded chimneys are available.

Filling your Kayfun With the Dx cap:

Hold your finger over the air intake hole on your kayfun before removing the top cap, this will create back pressure and hold back liquid from leaking once you remove the top for filling. The base of the Dx cap has dual 2mm ports, one port is used for filling with a needle bottle, the other port is for air to release as you are filling. You can fill the kayfun right up to the top, once you see liquid exiting the air port. Once the kayfun is full, reinstall the top cap and tighten, you will feel the internal o ring on the top cap section making contact with the cap bottom, there is no need to wrench the top cap tight (When installing the Dx cap it is best to tighten the Dx cap base to the stainless quartz top section extra tight, this will stop the Dx base from unthreading when you need to remove the top for filling. Do not over tighten the quartz kit on your kayfun, this can put pressure on the quartz glass cut ends and cause chipping or cracking.

This can be used as a direct replacement for kayfun standard top cap only (threaded chimney NOT required) or as a threaded top cap  when using glass quartz kits (threaded chimney required)

*Some kayfun clones have extended or longer chimney tubes than genuine Kayfuns, the chimney tube cannot pass the o ring into the threaded section. To solve this issue you may need to trim/cut and bevel your chimney tube. If you need your chimney cut to fit we would be more than happy to do this for you.

*Note on Glass: The glass tubes ae made from Fused Quartz. The cut edges are flame polished to produce a clean look and relieve stress in the quartz tubes. Small chipping may show on the cut surfaces, this will not effect the function of the glass or the o ring seal.
