Orchid DX-OTop Filling Split Cap

The DX-Orchid is a top filling split cap modified specifically for the Ochid kayfun style RTA. The most prominent feature is the low profile sleek design and the ability of the top portion of the cap to be removed for filling while the bottom of the cap stays connected to your Orchid. The DX-O top cap is split in two pieces, the bottom section stays thread on your Orchid while the top section is removable. Removing the top cap exposes two 2mm ports, one for filling, and one for air release. Your kayfun cap can be filled right to the top without any air bubbles. The bored out cap holds an additional .75-1mm of liquid ( similar to the V2 Kayfun top caps)

Filling your Orchid With the DX-O cap:

Hold your finger over the air intake holes on your Orchid before removing the top cap, this will create back pressure and hold back liquid from leaking once you remove the top for filling. The base of the Dx cap has dual 2mm ports, one port is used for filling with a needle bottle, the other port is for air to release as you are filling. You can fill the Orchid right up to the top, once you see liquid exiting the air port your Orchid is full. Reinstall the top cap and tighten, you will feel the internal o ring on the top cap section making contact with the cap bottom, there is no need to wrench the top cap tight (When installing the Dx cap it is best to tighten the Dx cap base to the Orchid PMMA tank extra tight, this will stop the Dx base from unthreading when you need to remove the top for filling.

This is be used as a direct replacement for the Orchid top cap, no other accessories are required. *

 *The standard chimney tube on the Orchid protrudes in to the drip tip bore by about 1.5-2mm . A drip tip with a minimum bore of 5.2mm is required for the drip tip to seat properly. You may trim your chimney if you have the means. The standard Orchid cap will still function if you decide to trim the chimney tube. We have replacement PMMA frosted clear tanks that are 1.5mm taller than the standard Orchid tank ( 25.5mm vs 24mm, these replacement tanks will not require specific drips tip or trimming of your chimney.
